ABOUT ME
Louis Vetri: LMHCA, MFT, M.Div
With 35 years of experience as a therapist, pastor, community worker, and educator, I have seen pain, change, and healing show up in a variety of ways and from a variety of perspectives. I believe strongly in life-long learning and that our lessons and teachers come when we are ready. I've had the benefit of working in a multiple contexts, stages and roles within an organization or project, leading me to appreciate the specific level needs that have to be balanced, in order for any family, organization or community to find its way to healthy relationships and success. I participate in some global, multi-disciplinary communities which help me identify some core truths inherent in most situations. I bring the whole person that I am into what I offer and invite you to do the same as you work with support towards your deepest and broadest hopes and goals.
I am a Mental Health Professional and Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State and an Ordained Minister in the United Church of Christ. My wife and I moved here to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to family and we like the beautiful surroundings and slower pace. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Alvernia College ('88) and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Systems Theory from Hahnemann University Hospital and Medical College of Pennsylvania,('96) and obtained a Masters of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary (2013). I am Certified as a Satir Coaching and Mentoring Specialist through the Satir Global Network Additionally, I am a trained mediator, and have experience in the fields of drug and alcohol addiction, chronic mental health, domestic violence, anti-oppression work. I am also a long-time member of Metamorphosis Performing Company, serving as a seasoned Moderator for Interactive Educational Theater programs to schools, corporations, government and community agencies.
In working with others, I bring best practices and orientations, drawing on the wisdom of experience and other resources, which are harnessed for solid grounding and transformation.

I like spending time with my grandkids, watching professional football, playing board games, photography, theater/film, cooking and small hikes.
I believe health and healing occur when the conditions that trouble us, as individuals, families, organizations or communities - no longer define or orient our lives, despite the real limits they present.
I believe you can find the help, honesty and support you need to develop a deep and healthy relationship with yourself, others and the world so that it may bring you inner and outer peace in your own sense of self in the world.
Life and its lessons have brought me into a reverence for the change process and the complexity of human interactions within different systems and the overall society, with an understanding of how human nature manifests in many ways as we show up to navigate its challenges and opportunities.

I am committed to life-long learning and invite you to join me, that together we may learn what your own process, values and path have in store for you.
